Il territorio
Castellammare di Stabia è uno delle più importanti località della Campania. Si trova al centro del Golfo di Napoli, ai piedi del monte Faito (mt. 1100), all'inizio della Penisola Sorrentina. Offre condizioni climatiche di grande interesse (clima marino, temperato, boschivo e di montagna).
A Castellammare di Stabia venivano a villeggiare i re di Napoli (Reggia di Quisisana). Nei cantieri navali stabiesi sono state varate alcune delle più famose navi italiane tra cui la nave scuola Amerigo Vepucci e l'incrociatore Vittorio Veneto.
Gli scavi archeologici hanno riportato alla luce l'antica Stabiae e le sue ville romane di grande importanza ed imponenza sepolte dall'eruzione del Vesuvio del '79 d.c.
Ben 28 sorgenti di acque minerali arricchiscono il patrimonio termale utilizzato per cure e trattamenti di notevole efficacia terapeutica. Il centro benessere delle Terme di Stabia assicura agli ospiti relax e recupero fisico.
Lo sport ha il suo emblema nel glorioso Circolo Nautico Stabia fucina dei campioni olimpici Carmine e Giuseppe Abbagnale che con il timoniere Peppeniello Di Capua hanno strabiliato per decenni il mondo sportivo.

THE TERRITORY
Castellammare di Stabia is situated in a nice position because it's between the sea Tirreno and Faito mountain (high 1100ms.), you can reach there by a cab-way (8 minutes). From there you can see a nice landscape of the Gulf of Naples and in front the Vesuvio Vulcan. Our town offers good climatic conditions.
You can visit the Roman ruins because Stabiae was, in the past, as Pompei and Ercolano, a roman town and you can visit also the roman villas (Arianna, S.Marco, S.Biagio), you can reach there in 10 minutes walking.
There is also a possibility of healthy care because there are different 28 mineral waters for the wellness of human body.
Besides, by train "Circumvesuviana", you can reach easily the roman towns: Pompei, Oplonti, Ercolano (where you climb on Vesuvio Vulcan) and Naples. From the other side, always by train, you can go to Vico Equense, Sorrento, Amalfi coast and the Isles of Capri, Ischia and Procida.

Castellammare di Stabia ist eine Hafenstadt am Golf von Neapel. Sie liegt an der Stelle des antiken Stabiae und gehört zur Provinz Neapel in der Region Kampanien.
Die Stadt ist einer der wichtigsten Orte der Region. Sie liegt in der Mitte des Golfs von Neapel, am Fuße des Berges Faito (1100 m) und am Anfang der Sorrentoküste. Die Stadt bietet ein mildes Meeres- und Bergklima.
Schon die Könige von Neapel verbrachten ihren Urlaub im Königpalast Quisisana in Castellammare di Stabia. In unseren Schiffwerften sind einige der berühmtesten italienischen Schiffe vom Stapel gelaufen, unter anderem das Schulschiff „Amerigo Vespucci“ und der Kreuzer „Vittorio Veneto“.
Archäologische Ausgrabungen haben uns die antike Stabiae stammt der römischen Villen wiedergegeben, die im Jahre 79 n.Chr. verschüttet wurden.
Mit ihren 28 Mineralwasserquellen bieten die Thermen von Stabia zahlreiche Erholungsmöglichkeiten für Körper und Geist.
Unser Segelklub “Circolo Nautico Di Stabia” war Talentschmiede der Olympiasieger Carmine und Giuseppe Abbagnale, die jahrelang zusammen mit dem Steuermann Peppeniello Di Capua unsere Stadt verblüfften.
